Maps of Guam and Micronesia Inventory

Maps of Guam and Micronesia Inventory

If you are interested in maps, geography, and our location in the Pacific and the world, this is a great opportunity for service learning. You will be helping reserchers at the University of Guam to organize their map collection.

You will assist research assistants with their projects such as to:

- Digitize, archive, organize, and catalog maps of Micronesia

- Locate components of a map (scale, legend, north arrow, title, author, source, date, type, etc.)

- Enter map components into a graphic organizer and database (using a computer provided by UOG)

Reflection Instruction:

In order to earn service learning hours, a reflection needs to be turned into a teacher who can input the hours into Power School. You need to address: What did you do? What did you learn?
